Development of Renewable Energy (EBT) is one of the priorities of the government to achieve national energy sovereignty. Then how advances in renewable energy development in the two-year
administration of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Vice President
Jusuf Kalla (JK)?
As
quoted Liputan6.com, of the data report two years the Ministry of
Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) in Jakarta, Friday (10/28/2016),
within two years of additional power plants based Renewable Energy
2953.4 Mega Watt ( MW).
The power plant consists of a geothermal electricity (PLTP) with a
total capacity of 2,932 MW, Solar Power Plant (PLTS) and Hydroelectric
Power Plant (HEPP) with a total capacity of 21.4 MW.
The
Ministry of Energy noted this year Indonesia received additional supply
of electricity from geothermal energy as much as 215 MW. Earlier, Director General of Renewable Energy Energy Conservation
(EBTKE) MEMR Rida Mulyana said electricity supply comes from four
geothermal power plants.
Fourth
PLTS is Ulubelu Lampung 55 MW Unit 3, Unit 5 Lahendong 20 MW North
Sulawesi, North Sumatra Sarulla Unit 1 110 MW and Karaha Unit 1 West
Java 30 MW. So the total installed capacity will be 1653.5 MW.
"Geothermal will commercial on operation date (COD) in 2016 with a
total capacity of 215 MW and an investment of US $ 860 million," said
Rida.
Director of the Directorate General for Energy Geothermal Renewable
Energy Conservation at the Ministry of Energy, Saefulhak Yunus said the
current geothermal electricity which operates has an electric discharge
amounted to 1493.5 Mega Watt (MW), or 90 percent of the target of 1657.5
MW.
"So that means 1493.5 MW installed capacity of the existing target of 90 percent," said Yunus
