Jawa Power-YTL build solar power plants (PLTS) Photovoltaics with a capacity of 51 kilowatt peak (kWp).
Photovoltaic solar power is built in the area of Housing Employee-YTL Jawa Power in the district Paiton, Probolinggo.
Based on the press release received by Business, YTL Jawa Power and
claims since it began operations on September 21, 2016 Photovoltaic
solar power has supplied an average of around 40% of electricity needs
during the day in the employee housing.
Reduction in electricity consumption, equivalent to a saving of around
Rp 120 million per year and a reduction in CO2 emissions by 80,000 kg
per year.
Previous private power developers have been developing renewable
energy-based electricity generation based on domestic biogas, Micro
Hydro Power (MHP) and solar powered lighting.
Photovoltaic solar power with the largest capacity in East Java was
designed by the company, assisted by a German international cooperation
agency, Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)
GmbH.
This
technical assistance is part of the project Promotion of Least Cost
Renewable Energy (LCore-Indo), which is implemented by GIZ on behalf of
the German government together with the Directorate General of Renewable
Energy and Energy Conservation (DG EBTKE) Ministry of Energy and
Mineral Resources (ESDM) Republic Indonesia.
The
main objective of this renewable energy facility is a solar power
installation Photovoltaics indicating reliability and reduce power
consumption of electricity during the day, thereby contributing to the
reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (CO2). The facility was designed without using a battery so as to minimize maintenance costs.
