PT Dirgantara Indonesia (DI) with the National Institute of
Aeronautics and Space (Lapan) will produce the N-245 with a capacity of
45-50 passengers.
The prototype of this aircraft has been introduced at the Singapore Airshow earlier this year.
Irlan Budiman, Law & Public Relations Manager of PT Dirgantara Indonesia, say, making this N245 is based on market research.

N245 aircraft ATR72 will be competitors. However, the excess of N245 is able to land on short runways, while the ATR72 should land with a runway length.
"For Indonesia, we are optimistic, because the N245 is ideal for medium-haul commercial flights connecting between smaller airports," he said, Wednesday (10/11/2016).
Irlan explained that currently, N245 still in the finalization of the configuration for the next test will be conducted wind tunnel.
N245 prototype aircraft is targeted to be ready to operate in 2018.

Previously, PT DI has successfully made a prototype N219 and N235. N219 is the result of ideas and designs PT DI to Lapan.
